Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Minnesota Statute, Section 394.26, that the Stearns County Board of Adjustment, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, March 23, 2017, in Conference Room 121, Stearns County Service Center West, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, MN, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Purpose of the hearing is to consider the granting or denial of variances from the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance, Stearns County Subdivision Ordinance, Stearns County Sewage Treatment Ordinance, Stearns County Recreational Campground Ordinance, Stearns County Lodging Establishments Ordinance, Stearns County Childrens Camps Ordinance and the Stearns County Manufactured Home Parks Ordinance as follows:

1. To consider a request from Arthur Zenzen (Owner & Representative), Plymouth, MN from Sections 9.9.9A(1)&10.2.11A(2) of the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance #439 to construct a 30'x34' (1,020 Sqft) single family residential dwelling with a 14'x26' (364 Sqft) attached garage 5' from a property line and 50' from the OHWL of Big Birch Lake ahead of the Established Building Line. BID TIME: Bids will be received on March 14, 2017 until 1:00 p.m., CST by the Superintendent, Tom Rich at the Melrose Schools District Offices in Melrose, MN and publicly opened following. Bid bond shall be payable to Melrose Schools ISD#740, as guarantee that Bidder will, if awarded, enter into a Contract in accordance with the Construction Documents and submitted Bid.

OWNERS RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: Owner reserves the right to reject a Bid which is in any way incomplete, irregular, or to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bid received.  Owner also reserves the right to reject or accept a bid within the Owner's judgement is in the Owner's best interests.

EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS: Bidders shall carefully examine the entire contents of the Contract Documents and Reference Documents prepared for the Work to become thoroughly familiar with all requirements.

EXAMINATION OF SITE: Bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting scheduled for March 3rd, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. beginning at the Melrose High School Door #7 – 546 Fifth Avenue NE, Melrose, MN 56352. Bidders shall review the construction site to obtain first-hand knowledge of existing conditions, including existing utilities and services, obstacles which may be encountered and all other conditions relative to the Work to be performed. No unscheduled visits will be allowed by Melrose Schools.

Additional Compensation: Suppliers and Contractors shall not receive additional payment for conditions which can be determined by examining the site and Construction Documents.

Notice

Notice is hereby given: To the qualified voters of Millwood Township, the annual meeting and election will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the St. Rosa Church basement. In case of inclement weather, the meeting and election may be postponed to the third Tuesday in March. 

The annual meeting will commence at 1:00 p.m.to conduct all necessary business prescribed by law. The election polls will open immediately following the annual meeting and close at 8:00 p.m. Voters will elect the following:

One supervisor-1 year term

One supervisor-3 year term

One treasurer-  2 year term

The board of canvas will certify the election results on March 14, 2017 immediately following the counting of votes.
